The absence of clear fire safety instructions and emergency exits made me feel a bit uneasy during my stay.

The location right by Plaza Mayor made it super easy to explore the historic area of Madrid. The room had a great layout with plenty of light and was very quiet despite being in a bustling area. Cleanliness stood out. everything was spotless. They provided tea, coffee, and even a bottle of bubbly. Staff members like Bianca were incredibly helpful, offering maps and suggestions for dining. A couple of minor things could improve the experience though. The shower screen was a bit too small, causing water to splash out. Also, finding the hotel was tricky since it’s on the second floor of an apartment building with a sign that's hard to spot. Overall, I would definitely stay here again for its charm and convenience.

The hotel is conveniently located in a quiet area, just a short stroll from major attractions.
I encountered issues when trying to access the reception, as it wasn't always staffed during the posted hours. It was frustrating to share just one set of keys for the main entrance and our room, especially when my travel partner wasn't available. Additionally, the lack of dining options within the hostal was disappointing, requiring us to venture out each time we wanted a meal.

Perfectly located in the heart of the city. just a short walk to major attractions. The air conditioning was fantastic for the hot days. and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of cava in our fridge.
Noise from nearby bars could be bothersome at night. an earplug might help for light sleepers.
